A Traveler’s Gravity

I go where I’m needed, where I’m wanted, or I just wander

Hopefully cast into people’s lives for a reason and with honor

I can feel everything they feel, and reveal, and support it with a strong arm

Character is believed in, even if they retreat or cause some harm

Rejuvenated strength in a muscle, isn’t determined by its size-

It’s not only the flex in the dog’s jaw, but the contained look in his eyes

It’s the full toned iron rod, holding the bridge of connection

Never rusting, if they’re crossing, it’s under honest protection

They learn lessons as do I, but my memory flashes in reserve

Natural observation pours from my eyes, only never to need to be heard

But if you listen closely you can hear my heartbeat, pounding the pavement

Making a statement that I crave truth in the placement of my engagements

Freeing the stress and energy explosion, running far into freedom

Trust and receive, I believe I breathe easy with good reason

I am the source of my light and my spirit is the oil burning after the midnight

In these words, in the lines, reciprocating the time

Catching and The meaning of why life gives signs

I tell others to never give up or give in, look up and down, search within

Not directly but through allowing them to admit their truths

That’s all I seek in connections I don’t intend to lose

A friend, a buddy, a family member, a lover

To all I give the warmth I can provide with my cover

Rough leather exterior but inside made of fleece

Winding away the time, trying to show them peace

Loyalty is the one truth in a bond; it comes from consideration and giving

The reason for my sincerity isn’t a reason, I just believe in how I’m living

Awesome, cool flow, and the last line ended it perfectly.
